1 Object of the Service
ChecksMyCar provides algorithmic analysis tools (maintenance invoice OCR, engine acoustic video scanning) and telematics OBD data retrieval to evaluate the technical state of used motor vehicles.
2 Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The user acknowledges that diagnostic reports are generated from media uploaded by the user and raw data transmitted by the vehicle's electronic control unit. ChecksMyCar disclaims any liability for latent defects non-detectable via OBD, subsequent mechanical breakdowns, altered mileage prior to inspection, or third-party vehicle modifications.
3 Premium Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
Access to full diagnostic features is available via digital tokens or auto-renewing subscriptions processed through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to renewal via device store settings.
4 Community Feed & User Messaging
ChecksMyCar connects potential buyers and sellers through an in-app community feed and direct chat. ChecksMyCar operates strictly as a technical hosting provider, does not handle transactions between private parties, and assumes no liability for vehicle transactions or listing disputes.
5 Right of Withdrawal (Digital Services)
In accordance with applicable consumer regulations (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, French Consumer Code Art. L.221-28 13°), the standard 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to instant digital content supplied immediately with prior express consent and acknowledgment of waiver.
6 Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a question or claim, users are encouraged to contact our support team at contact@checksmycar.com for amicable dispute settlement before initiating formal consumer mediation.
